Hi there! It has been a while. June is almost at its end. But it will not end without me posting something interesting. :) I recently went to Pasay Area CCP Complex to share with you guys what sights, establishments and places can be seen there. So hop in and enjoy. :D
This park is located on the right side of the CCP. The metallic marker on the middle represents the Asean 2017 summit.
This structure can also be seen inside the park,
I took a picture of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Central Bank of the Republic of the Philippines) It was established on July 3 1933
Not far from CCP is the Manila Bay. You may see many people fishing here. You may fish here without charge from 10 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon. You may see many yachts on the far right.
I was curious what the guy on the picture was doing so I decided to take a close look and ask him what he is doing.
Manila Bay also houses an office of the Philippine Navy.
The Philippine International Convention Center or PICC can be found not far from harbor square. This facility holds numerous local and foreign conventions, meetings, fairs, and social events each year. This place is really big and it is a really nice place. The 2017 Asean summit was held here.
Tennis courts can also be found in this area. Parking lots are also abundant but they get congested during Sundays as many religious events are held during this day.
Tanghalang Francisco Balagtas (formerly known as Folk Arts Theatre). This place is a covered proscenium amphitheater owned by the Cultural Center of the Philippines that was a popular venue for concerts during the 1980s and 1990s.
The CCP bay terminal can be found next to harbor square. If you want to take a cruise on the Manila Bay you may want to go in here.
I really want to look what is inside of this place. The Coconut Palace (Tahanang Pilipino). It became the official workplace and residence of the former Vice President of the Philippines Jejomar Binay. It was also featured as one of the pit stops during the Amazing Race 5.
The Manila Film Center can be found near the Coconut Palace. This place has a tragic history during its early days. It was later leased to Amazing Philippines Theatre. The Amazing Show was held here where all the performers were transgender.
I personally love this shot as you can see green fields and tall buildings and the sky merged into one image. This is what you will see as you turn your back away from the Manila Film Center.
Not far from the Manila Film Center is the Sofitel which is a 5 star luxury hotel. I have never been inside but it looks good from the outside.
One of my favorite places here at the CCP complex is Star City Amusement Park. I have been here multiple times together with family and friends. Every time we visit here we always go to the Horror Houses. Last time there were 3 horror houses and its fun when you and your friends try to goof around when inside these attractions.
The Ferris wheel and the tower of the Star City can be seen here.
Last but not the least is the Aliw Theatre located beside the Star City. I was able to watch the Beatles Fest here years ago when Pete Best the former drummer of the Beatles visited the Philippines. It was such a nice experience.
So that's it I hope you enjoyed the different places, locations etc. that I showed you. Till next time
Please join me again on my next adventure as I pedal around the Philippines. Thank You!
Great post! Amazing pictures!
