Pasay Adventure CCP Complex

Hi there! It has been a while. June is almost at its end. But it will not end without me posting something interesting. :) I recently went to Pasay Area CCP Complex to share with you guys what sights, establishments and places can be seen there. So hop in and enjoy. :D
Manila Bay

Front of CCP
This building is called Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). It was founded in 1969 and has been producing enterntainment ranging from music, dance theater, visual arts, literary, cinematic and design events from the Philippines and all over the world. I have been inside back then when I was still in High School to watch a play and it was really good. Many joggers use its ramp and many people gather in front of CCP during weekends. The 30th Asean summit took place around this area last April 26 - 29, 2017.

Park near CCP
This park is located on the right side of the CCP. The metallic marker on the middle represents the Asean 2017 summit.

This structure can also be seen inside the park,

Central Bank of the Republic of the Philippines
I took a picture of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Central Bank of the Republic of the Philippines) It was established on July 3 1933

Manila Bay Fishing
Not far from CCP is the Manila Bay. You may see many people fishing here. You may fish here without charge from 10 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon. You may see many yachts on the far right.

Manila Bay Fishing I was curious what the guy on the picture was doing so I decided to take a close look and ask him what he is doing.

Fish Cage
Turns out he is checking on his fish cage. The fishes that he caught that day was placed in a cage like this to keep them alive so that they will still be fresh before he gives them to his friends.

Manila Bay Philippine Navy
Manila Bay also houses an office of the Philippine Navy.

Harbor Square
Harbor Square
Harbor square houses different food establishments ranging from Yellow Cab, Mang Inasal, KFC, Jollibee, Max's, Dencios, Krispy Kreme and others. If you are really hungry harbor square is the place to be. It is just a few meters away from the fishing spot.

PICC
The Philippine International Convention Center or PICC can be found not far from harbor square. This facility holds numerous local and foreign conventions, meetings, fairs, and social events each year. This place is really big and it is a really nice place. The 2017 Asean summit was held here.

Tennis Court
Tennis courts can also be found in this area. Parking lots are also abundant but they get congested during Sundays as many religious events are held during this day.

Tanghalang Balagtas
Tanghalang Francisco Balagtas (formerly known as Folk Arts Theatre). This place is a covered proscenium amphitheater owned by the Cultural Center of the Philippines that was a popular venue for concerts during the 1980s and 1990s.

CCP Bay Terminal
The CCP bay terminal can be found next to harbor square. If you want to take a cruise on the Manila Bay you may want to go in here.

Coconut Palace
I really want to look what is inside of this place. The Coconut Palace (Tahanang Pilipino). It became the official workplace and residence of the former Vice President of the Philippines Jejomar Binay. It was also featured as one of the pit stops during the Amazing Race 5.

Manila Film Theatre
The Manila Film Center can be found near the Coconut Palace. This place has a tragic history during its early days. It was later leased to Amazing Philippines Theatre. The Amazing Show was held here where all the performers were transgender.

Front of Manila Film Theatre
I personally love this shot as you can see green fields and tall buildings and the sky merged into one image. This is what you will see as you turn your back away from the Manila Film Center.

Sofitel
Not far from the Manila Film Center is the Sofitel which is a 5 star luxury hotel. I have never been inside but it looks good from the outside.

Star City
One of my favorite places here at the CCP complex is Star City Amusement Park. I have been here multiple times together with family and friends. Every time we visit here we always go to the Horror Houses. Last time there were 3 horror houses and its fun when you and your friends try to goof around when inside these attractions.

Star City
The Ferris wheel and the tower of the Star City can be seen here.

Aliw Theatre
Last but not the least is the Aliw Theatre located beside the Star City. I was able to watch the Beatles Fest here years ago when Pete Best the former drummer of the Beatles visited the Philippines. It was such a nice experience.

So that's it I hope you enjoyed the different places, locations etc. that I showed you. Till next time

Please join me again on my next adventure as I pedal around the Philippines. Thank You!
